Vaccination of children

Children aged between 6 months and 5 years

Children aged between 6 months and 5 years can get vaccinated against COVID-19 on a voluntary basis. No invitation will be sent. 

Children aged 6 months to 5 years can only be vaccinated by a paediatrician.

Children aged between 5 and 11 years

Children aged between 5 and 11 years can get vaccinated on a voluntary basis.

The recommended vaccination schedule consists of 2 doses given 4 weeks (28 days) apart. Children who turn 12 before receiving their 2nd dose can receive the same vaccine as adults (BioNTech/Pfizer).

Note that the dose for children aged between 5 and 11 years is lower (with an adapted dosage of 10 µg) than that recommended for children aged 12 years and over, i.e. 1/3 of the dose will be given to children.

Please note: If the child is accompanied by a person who does not have parental authority, then this person must download the parental authorisation form here (Pdf, 122 Kb) and have it signed by one of the parents or legal representatives.

Where can one get vaccinated?

By a paediatrician

It is possible to have the child vaccinated by various paediatricians. You must first make an appointment with the chosen paediatrician. Please find below the list of eligible paediatricians.
